Suzanne’s journey started 19 years ago when she was persuaded by a friend to get her real estate license and join forces with her to deliver relocation services to Fortune 500 companies and their employees. Working in the relocation industry, Suzanne realized there was a void in the market when it came to renters, as if a whole section of house hunters were being overlooked and under-appreciated.
Suzanne founded McKenzie Drake in 2009 and never looked back. She made it her mission to focus on renters needs instead of million dollar listings. Today she flexes her people skills as a corporate housing and apartment locating expert, educating renters about the finer points of apartment living and building relationships with top management in the multifamily industry.
Ten years later and a rebrand, Mckenzie Drake is levering today’s popular technology and social media outlets… all designed to deliver our clients the best relocation experience possible.
She chalks up much of her success to going the extra mile, her positive attitude and simply being nice, which she’s found goes a very long way.
Suzanne, a native Houstonian, earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston. In her free time, she and her husband, Hernaldo, enjoy traveling the globe and embracing other cultures, being particularly fond of France, where they were married. She also loves cooking, entertaining, a great bottle of wine, and hanging out with her two rescue kitties George and Sophie.
“I LOVE what I do… its different everyday!” –Suzanne
Krista launched her apartment locating career in 2009 with a radio commercial in which she promoted Aggieland Apartment Finders. Her radio debut jumpstarted her real estate career in which she assisted fellow Aggies in finding apartment deals in and around campus. After college, she planted her roots in Houston and applied her set of skills to the Greater Houston rental market.
Krista is passionate about hospitality, which is why she thoroughly enjoys showing clients all that Houston has to offer in what has become one of the most thriving markets for furnished and unfurnished apartments. Her customer-centric focus combined with her excellent work ethic and friendly demeanor make her a professional from start to finish.
Krista provides housing solutions, manages day-to-day operations and lead generation.
Krista’s drive and heart for service extend beyond work. She is actively involved in Keepers of the Faith, leading spiritual devotions with young women in Houston’s Third Ward. She’s also a member of the host committee for the Small Steps Nurturing Center and the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo’s hospitality committee.
Krista and her husband Kurt are expecting a baby girl in 2019! In the meantime, they enjoy spending time with their three dogs, Mia, Cam, and Fancy, and look forward to growing their family together, demonstrating their love for others through foster care, and sharing their love of big family dinners, queso, and football with them. Her goal is for people to remember her as someone that made them feel loved and challenged to make a difference in the world.
